Brewing Success in Operations: Digitalization with SAP Advanced Cloud ERP
Founded in 1895, this client is a renowned brewery that has earned a reputation for its high-quality lager that’s cherished by beer aficionados worldwide. It prides itself on using traditional brewing methods combined with the finest local ingredients. Each batch is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that the rich flavors and authentic character of its beer are preserved.
As a significant player in the brewing industry, the client needed to transform its processes to enhance scalability and efficiency while reasserting its commitment to quality and authenticity. The goal was to update its process models, harness industry best practices, and introduce automation and digitalization with SAP’s advanced cloud ERP.
The implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition has delivered impressive system stability and capability, allowing the company to simplify handling of 100 export trucks and 100 domestic routes.
In the future, by transforming subsidiaries into a unified process model and building regional synergies using a common ERP application and shared services, it aims to harmonize and fine-tune sales and demand planning processes. This will allow it to reduce out-of-stocks, lower stock levels, and enhance production and distribution planning.
To underscore the client’s commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence, further plans include replacing a legacy warehouse management system with the SAP Extended Warehouse Management application. The aim is to reduce support costs and boost warehouse performance. In parallel, other important aspects of its strategy include increasing sales productivity through segmentation and automation, minimizing manual work in procurement and finance through automation use cases, and automating vendor interactions.
